Pizza

I was craving pizza this afternoon. I had some Ezekiel Bread Pitas in the fridge so I took one, smeared a little leftover spaghetti sauce on it, added some fake Canadian bacon, some onions, and some green peppers. Then I put it in the oven until the sauce was bubbly. It really was pretty tasty! Made the house smell good too. Wish I'd had some mushrooms. . .

Hey - I tried something similar tonight and really enjoyed it. I used the fat free 365 sphegetti sauce and doctored it up with a fair amount of cooked baby bella mushrooms, a glug of cooking sherry or white wine, a heavy tea spoon of minced garlic, a slew of chopped onions (third of an onion), a few heavy dashes of garlic powder, garlic salt, onion powder, pepper, a small amount of oregano, a few dashes of pepper, three small shots of hot pepper sauce and a pretty good glug or two of blue agave to sweeten it just a little. This makes a great sphegetti sauce and pizza sauce.

Then I took two large Fat Flush (0 fat)tortillas (wild oats) and layered them together for a thicker crust. I then spread the sauce on both layers, but more heavy on the top layer. Then I spread over the top layer an even portion of Lightlife soy pepperonis (Wild Oats), a third of a white onion chopped, a whole can of mushroom pieces and stems (for richer meatiness of the entire pizza), a few small bits of red and green peppers, and then salted the whole thing with both onion salt and regular salt, and just a little garlic salt. I put it in a 450 oven for about 18 to 20 minutes. YUMMY GOOD!!!! Tasted almost as good as Memphis Pizza Cafe's thin everything pizza - (almost - LOL). Try it, you'll like it.

Blessings,

Mark Calhoun
