4th of July picnic fare - vegan style

What do vegans eat on the 4th of July? It really doesn't look much different than what others enjoy. . . fresh corn on the cob, a slice of home grown tomato, potato salad (made with soy nayonaisse), vegetarian baked beans, and some barbecue seitan for something new. I have posted the recipe here. I just made the recipe, adding a couple of teaspoons of bbq sauce, baked it like the recipe says, then took it out, dipped it in some sauce, placed it back on the parchment and put it back in the oven for about 10 minutes. It reminded me of McDonalds chicken nuggets - the dark meat ones. I think I pressed out my seitan a little too thin so they were a little chewy - but still pretty good for a change. I think we'll make some of our frozen banana "ice cream" in a little while.
